Happy Easter

17 Apr

According to mom, there is currently a cupcake / muffin fad in Singapore, so I thought I might be a part of that fad. Furthermore, I had to prepare for the up coming mud cake assessment in the coming week, so I made these for Easter.

5 hours of muffin madness later… I emerge with chocolate covered clothes, brown tea towels and very boom-bastic hair. (My hair does that when I get stressed, or when the weather gets humid.) Anyway I’ve decided that when it comes to decorating…. there is still much to learn. Hopefully, I will pick up some good skills from school.

The assessment went pretty well. I made Sable biscuits, fruit scones and 2 mud cakes (see below). By the end of it, I was hanging out for a week of Easter bliss.

And Easter bliss it was. It was full of festive joy. There is a beautiful new addition to the family, lit’le Ruby, a visit from a very old friend and …. there was that unforgettable home cooked Korean style barbecue organised by the Korean girls from Pastry school.
