Slow Braised Osso Bucco with Orzo pasta

As autumn sets in and the days get colder, it is nice to be able to pull out the ol’ pistachio cast iron pot to cook up some wholesome, hearty meals.

The first time I had Orzo pasta was when I was at Damien’s and Bec’s and I found it quite delightful. Maybe because I LOVE rice… Orzo pasta is shaped like a rice granule and I think it goes really nicely with stews or braised meats.

Over the weekend, I made a large pot of braised osso bucco in a thick, scrumptious brown sauce (Check out all the stewey goodness below) and served it with orzo pasta, topped with goodies like grape tomatoes, black olives and basil leaves.
